New Site Launched for Sphinx Cuisine
This month we released a small static site for a business that we are very proud to help with their continued growth. Sphinx Cuisine's owner Rebecca M. Rashid, who is a native Egyptian and now American citizen, opened her doors in early 2008 to begin to feed the hearts and bellies of locals and far away friends alike. Her Middle Eastern Food market stand, which is located in the Lebanon Farmers Market (downtown Lebanon, PA), serves authentic, fresh from scratch Middle Eastern Food including; spinach pie, falafel, Greek salad, lentil soup, hummus, couscous with pine nuts, gyros, stuffed vegetables and baklava. Her food not only produces happy, healthy customers but also puts smiles on the faces of the 500+ children in various orphanages across Egypt.
This site proved to be a great opportunity for Web Developer Levi Cahoon to flex some of his design muscles as this was his first shot at doing an entire site on his own. After getting the stamp of approval from Design Lead Jonathan Groff, Levi worked with newly hired Sales Director Joel Walker to learn all about the feel and branding of "Sphinx". The message that Mrs. Rashid wanted to convey was "Fresh, Hand Prepared, quite a variety, and all about the kids." Borrowing from Lebanon Daily news articles, Mrs. Rashid's own testimony, and even scripture. Levi wove together this small four page site in a way that conveys professionalism and compassion. We feel that the highlight of this site is the Menu page, which does not require a PDF download and instead, seamlessly carries the look and feel of the Sphinx Brand and website. Even though this is a small test of our abilities and nothing any other company couldn't produce we highlight it because we are proud of Levi for completing his first solo project, proud of Joel for finding yet another quality, compassion driven business to work with, and in general, we are simply proud to be associated forevermore with a cause as noble as Mrs. Rashid's.
A small random extra; Joel will actually be traveling to Egypt this spring to spend time working with the children of those orphanages as a direct result of the relationship the he has developed through working with Mrs. Rashid. Just another example of how AMQ truly is a software and web company that actually has caring people interacting with our customers.
